Artist's Description
This is a painting of the Point Vincente Lighthouse in Palos Verdes, California. It depicts the beauty of the coastline on the Pacific Ocean.
I grew up around this beautiful area and love it! My hope is that this passion comes
through in my painting. The painting has been continued around the edges so it
can be hung without a frame.
About Jennifer Beaudet
Hello and welcome to my print shop on Fine Art America! I'm artist Jennifer Beaudet (Zondervan now, because I recently married a Dutch man). J Beaudet Studios. I am a native Californian, born 1970, now living in San Clemente, California. I paint mostly in oils and like to keep my paintings loose, with the beautiful brushstrokes showing. It's my goal as an artist to convey my passion for the beautiful world we live in. I have been selling my art online since 2009 and paint the women in the red dress series. I am the original artist of these paintings and own the copyrights to all of my images here. I would love for you to add one to your collection at home! Thanks for the suggestions Bob. I'm sure I will do another one of this lighthouse in Palos Verdes, it's a favorite spot of mine. I might do a slightly different viewpoint and would like to do a larger one. I like your idea about different flowers too.
Nadine and Bob Johnston
For some reason, keep coming back and checking this painting. Nadine does not like to do the same one, more than once. But, some years ago, convinced her to do so with favorites. Then, we keep the best of the two and she sells the other one. Think it may be due to the flowers along the foreground with color carried out into the point and into the sunset. If you ever do another, you could change the colors a bit, and maybe move the lighthouse out further on the point. On the CA coast, have seen some flowers like Indian Paintbrush which might also look good, yet very different. Nadine had one painting that sold over a dozen variations, originally a class exercise, she liked.
